No-Code Platform Enhancing Security Authorization Implementation

Access control, permissions, and authorization are fundamental components of every application, serving as the vital link between individuals and systems. In today’s technological landscape, no product can exist without permissions and access control. However, constructing and reconstructing this system based on emerging regulatory mandates can be daunting and repetitive.

Or Weis, co-founder and CEO of Permit.io, encountered this challenge firsthand during his time at Rookout, a developer tools company he co-founded. He witnessed that the access control had to be rebuilt five times within three years, leading him to question the inefficiency of this approach and igniting the idea for Permit.io.

Permit.io revolutionizes access control by offering a solution that eliminates the need to repeatedly build permissions. Its comprehensive platform provides not only the essential infrastructure and APIs, but also the user interfaces (UI) necessary for companies to effortlessly manage their access control systems.

“We understand the experiences users and audiences encounter repeatedly, and have integrated features like user management with role assignment, API key management, audit logs, invite approval flows, and much more into our platform,” says Weis.

Permit.io provides these features prepackaged and readily available as part of an easily integrable back-office solution. By seamlessly plugging it into business applications, clients can bypass the time-consuming and non-unique aspects of access control.

Permit.io offers low-code/no-code interfaces that generate policy-as-code to alleviate the burden of repeatedly rebuilding permissions. This interface allows users to begin implementing OPA or AWS Cedar without extensive language proficiency.

Permit.io also enables product managers and security teams to seamlessly make changes, modifications, and improvements to security compliance without relying on developers. This approach also promotes collaboration among stakeholders, allowing everyone around the table to participate in writing policy without managing complex technical barriers.

An example of Permit.io’s impact is its collaboration with Tesla. Tesla leveraged Permit’s open source project OPAL to revolutionize their car fleet management. Through OPAL, they seamlessly assigned specific cars to designated individuals, effortlessly configuring features and access rights.

Above all, Permit.io empowers businesses to focus on what truly matters, while it handles the intricate details of access control management. Through its intuitive interfaces, Permit.io enables its users to bid farewell to the repetitive cycle of building permissions, and embrace a future where their time and resources are devoted to creating remarkable software experiences.
