Swit
Enabling Task-oriented Enterprise Collaboration

Swit

Josh Lee, Founder & CEO
With each passing year, we witness a new phase for technology that propels innovations, changing the way we work and live. 2020, however, proves to be a little different. The COVID-19 outbreak has spawned global changes in the way enterprises work. Social distancing and shelter-in-place edicts have pushed them to experiment with a variety of collaboration tools to sustain a sense of normalcy while keeping their workers healthy and productive. Even though these tools enable enterprises to communicate remotely in real-time, conduct operations seamlessly, and reduce bottlenecks in feedback and approval processes, many believe that real-time virtual collaboration comes with real-time headaches.

To elaborate, take any of the leading collaboration software providers, for instance. It could be business communication platforms like Slack or video conferencing apps like Zoom or project management tools such as Asana. These applications are widely accepted in the marketplace because of their best-of-breed approach, meaning they focus on one function and excel at it. The only way for companies to use them optimally is by integrating them. Though such “integrations” help companies drive collaboration to a great extent, switching between apps for various workflows hinders operational efficiency and overall productivity. Even before work-from-home became a forced trend, a study conducted in 2019 revealed that 54 percent of employees have at least five different programs running simultaneously, and 56 percent use at least three different tools to collaborate. As a result, nearly 60 percent of workers feel that they are wasting time having to switch between apps for various tasks—which, more or less, make these applications counterproductive on many counts.

“By the end of this year, we’ll provide the top 60 apps with the best integrations experience ever to show why chat and tasks need to be offered in one and how Swit seamlessly makes different workflows streamlined”

“For years, we heavily used Slack, integrating multiple apps in it like Trello or Asana. But all we could do with those integrations is to receive text-based notifications into selected channels, doubling distractions without getting anything done. It’s so frustrating to go back and forth between chat and tasks,” says Josh Lee, the Founder & CEO at Swit. Different UI/UX, scattered Data silos, and overlapping features among those apps make it harder for today’s professionals to manage their actual work. This disjoint multi-app environment increases more communication overhead. “We knew that there could not have been an all-in-one workspace app in the real business world. We need many tools for each function, but what about chat and tasks that make us most frequently switch on a daily basis and get lost in tabs from various apps? This is exactly what Swit was built for.”

Meet the Swit Cross-Functional App

On a mission to change the way people work and to help teams realize their potential, Swit offers a unified hub for collaboration that seamlessly combines cutting-edge team communication with high-performance task management in a new way. It is an advanced, elegant, all-in-one collaboration app that puts everything—chat, post, file sharing, kanban board, Gantt chart, calendar, and more—inside one simple, stylish design.

With Swit, users can stop juggling through multiple apps and unite remote teams through one tool to be more focused and productive, removing their biggest daily distractions

Swit brings remote work essentials like chat and tasks together in one convenient place. With the unified platform, users can turn conversations into trackable tasks and share them to chat channels only by drag and drop. They can easily move between different workflows while maintaining context and data, syncing it across all instances. “You may separate teams but not tools to build a great sense of remote belonging. With Swit, users can stop juggling through multiple apps and unite remote teams through one tool to be more focused and productive, removing their biggest daily distractions,” says Lee.

Unlike any team collaboration tool trying to make their users spend more time in their platforms, Swit was carefully designed to be a “#task-centric” collaboration hub to redefine what it means to be more productive, allowing users to accomplish more tasks with less messaging, in less time. To catch up with the same level of functionality that Swit provides, organizations should adopt at least 2 or 3 different apps for team chat, tasks, and team management. Lee elaborates, For instance, when users want to find a particular file or piece of information, they need to search for it app by app, channel by channel, and project by project while trying hard to recollect any context or scenario pertaining to it. No one is on the same page. With Swit, you could do the same things in a way you are familiar with and even more in the ways you couldn’t before.

In effect, Swit can replace communication platforms like Slack, MS Teams, and Google Chat, team collaboration and work management apps like Asana, Jira, Trello, and ClickUp and project management tools like Monday.com, Zoho Projects, and TeamGantt. The platform also integrates with the G Suite, making it seamless for users who use Gmail, Google Drive, Google SSO, etc., to turn conversations into tasks, and vice versa—without hustling between applications.

Built for Teams of All Sizes

“At Swit, we understand that every organization has its own unique needs. That’s why we offer a set of Tiers that allow teams to select the best experience for them,” says Lee. Swit primarily caters to small to mid-sized teams with less than 50 members using a single workspace and enterprises with larger teams with cross-functional collaboration using multiple workspaces.

Smaller teams can either go for Swit’s free version or the standard. The free version offers 5GB/WS Storage, 25MB attachments, up to 5 projects and 300 tasks, 10K recent searchable messages, alongside features such as chat, ideas (post), Kanban, advanced integrated search, advanced notifications, and unlimited WS. Whereas, the Standard comes with 10GB / user Storage, 250MB attachments, unlimited projects, tasks, and searchable messages alongside all the features of the free version with others like calendar, timeline (Gantt), corporate exports for all data, task sharing to chat, and single Standard WS + unlimited Free WS.

On the other hand, Swit’s offering for cross-functional teams across workspaces is a lot more sophisticated in addressing issues that have never been solved that other team collaboration solutions have an architectural limit to. Existing tools are strictly compartmentalized and allow no fluidity between workflows and communications in organizations that require multiple-team collaboration beyond a single workspace. Simply put, many have to rely on multiple accounts within one service or various function-specific services to get things done. For instance, if people wanted to create another workspace, they had to create another account. While they were working in one workspace, they didn’t know what was going on in the other workspaces they belonged to. Such a barrier between workspaces causes confusion, bloat, and disjointed workflows, while mentions, messages, and other notifications piled up in different workspaces are scattered everywhere.

“We’re investing in designing our own category for company-wide cross-functional teams. All the existing team collaboration tools were designed and built for small-sized single teams only, which means they don’t provide larger organizations with team-to-team communication, multi-teams collaboration, or super admin management beyond a single workspace. But, Swit was founded to meet these needs, opening a new era for Teams Collaboration. As such, we introduced the Swit Advanced for cross-functional teams. It brings you exactly what you need to overcome these issues and more,” Lee prides.

The Swit Advanced tier takes team collaboration to the next level—providing larger organizations with cross-workspace features like integrated search, mention, activity log, advanced admin management, SAML-based single sign-on (SSO), invite users in bulk using .csv file, and unlimited Advanced WS. The Swit Advanced offers storage of 20GB / User and 500MB attachments. This can also be scaled by up to 1TB / User and 500MB attachments with the Swit Advanced Plus.

Functionality Meets Client Servicing

While Swit in itself proves to be the go-to collaboration solution, what adds to its value proposition is its real-time support channel. The company provides enterprise-grade support for every Swit user (including the free plan users) in the community workspace, which is operated by its customer success team to help users with any issue in real-time during working hours and within a few hours on weekends. Swit also encompasses a dedicated “growth team” that regularly releases the product roadmap to users in an attempt to receive feedback or gain a perspective on what features they’d like to improve or add first to the platform.

The outcome of this strategy is truly revolutionary. The company released the Swit Developer Platform with open APIs in March 2020 and the Swit Store, a third-party apps integration marketplace in May 2020. “Even though both Slack and MS Teams provide more than 2,000 integrations, they only offer text-based notification bots; most companies integrate less than dozens of apps on average. We believe the interaction between those integrated apps is much more important in increasing productivity than just the number of integrated apps. By the end of this year, we’ll provide the top 60 apps with the best integrations experience ever to show why chat and tasks need to be offered in one and how Swit seamlessly makes different workflows streamlined. This will be the beginning to build the enterprise SaaS ecosystem better together with our partners and clients,” Lee concludes.

• Swit will provide their collaboration tool to SKT and SKB for enhanced communication and efficiency.

• The collaboration includes integration with internal solutions of SKT and SKB as well as joint R&D for AI technologies.

SAN FRANCISCO, --
Swit Technologies (CEO, Josh Lee), a global collaboration platform and work OS solution provider, announced that SK Telecom (SKT) and SK Broadband (SKB) are joining the folds as Swit's clients, and they look forward to a long and fruitful relationship.

In an unofficial capacity, Swit has collaborated with SKT and SKB consistently. In September last year, Swit secured a strategic investment from SK Broadband and entered into a partnership with the company. In February this year, Swit, sponsored by SK Telecom, participated in and introduced the idea of "AI-Powered Swit" at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2023, the world's largest mobile and connectivity event held in Spain.

By adopting Swit, which combines Work OS and a SaaS Integration Platform (SIP), SK Telecom and SK Broadband will be able to manage enterprise-level projects across organizations under Enterprise company-in-company (CIC), and create a more efficient communication environment by consolidating the various communication tools spread across different departments.

Swit provides interoperability with third-party apps such as Microsoft 365 and financial ERP systems used by SK Telecom and SK Broadband, enabling a seamless working environment without silos. Swit also supports an enhanced mobile working environment through integration with SK Broadband's mobile platform 'TokTok', and provides features such as transparent work history logs, enhancing employee experience and productivity for both companies.

Moreover, integration with SK's internal solutions will be made possible in the Swit Developers' website through Swit's SIP environment that supports no-code configuration, a custom developer environment, a public marketplace, and automation.

Kyeong Deog Kim, EVP of Enterprise CIC at SKT, stated, "SK Telecom and SK Broadband are seeking employee convenience as well as expansion of business for customers by integrating our internal solutions with Swit, which offers a SIP environment. Since the investment last year, Swit has consistently shown its commitment to creating a more efficient enterprise collaboration solution through its product."

Josh Lee, co-founder and CEO of Swit said, "In collaboration with SKT and SKB, as they are transitioning into AI companies, Swit will continue to provide a platform that enhances the employee experience for all SK Group customers in addition to introducing features such as automatic task creation following conference calls, automatic generation of recommended industry-specific templates, project success, and risk predictions."
