Connected Network for Unified Supply Chain

Supply chains usually comprise multiple stakeholders who work together directly or indirectly based on information, material and financial flows. Owing to this interdependency, any disruption impacts all the parties involved in the process. It is, therefore, essential for shippers and logistics service providers to build a unified and connected supply chain—a task easier said than done. They need to break the data silos, ensure a seamless flow of information from the factory to the doorstep, and improve supply chain visibility.

Enter Turvo. The company provides a real-time collaborative logistics platform—Turvo Net—that connects people and organizations across the supply chain, allowing shippers, logistics providers and carriers to work together through cloud-based software and mobile applications. “Eliminating the unnecessary manual tasks and automating business processes, our platform ensures collaboration, visibility, execution, integration, and data-driven efficiencies throughout supply chain operations,” says Ketan Karkhanis, Chief Product Officer, Turvo.

Organizations of all sizes— from Fortune 500 logistics service providers to SMBs—today leverage Turvo platform to streamline their supply chain operations. For instance, one of the Turvo’ clients, Ryder System Inc., an innovative supply chain and logistics company, wanted to provide its customers with a best-in-class experience through cloud technology. To do so, they needed to connect their supply chain, including shippers, receivers, carriers, and service providers, in a single network environment by removing manual processes and fragmented operations created by disparate technology. Turvo partnered with Ryder to launch RyderShare that integrates data silos and enables collaboration across the supply chain simultaneously. The company helped Ryder incorporate data from multiple transportation management systems and warehouse management systems into a single, synergistic platform for seamless execution and end-to-end visibility. Turvo enabled users to work together in real-time and eliminate the inefficiencies of check-calls, rework, and manual data entry. As such, Ryder gained complete visibility into their supply chain and moved more goods quickly and efficiently while improving customer experience. Moreover, the client observed a 50 percent increase in productivity.

In another instance, Turvo helped Lineage Logistics, the world’s largest temperature-controlled industrial REIT and logistics solutions provider, digitally reimagine their warehouse management systems to better serve their customers. The client wanted to connect their service providers, shippers, warehouses, inventories, and carriers for seamless workflow and operations. By partnering with Turvo, they are launching Lineage Link, an industry-first collaboration platform that provides complete order, shipment, and inventory data in real time to their customers and other supply chain partners. Additionally, they are using Turvo’s digital applications to accelerate their digital transformation journey. Along with the visibility and collaboration platform, Lineage Logistics uses appointment scheduling to completely automate the way a carrier interacts with a subset of Lineage warehouses. This has resulted in improved planning, higher carrier satisfaction, and enhanced customer experience.

With many such success stories, Turvo is continually focused on innovations and adds new features and capabilities to its platform. “We add at least six major innovative features every year. When clients adopt our solution, they sign up for all the future innovation,” mentions Karkhanis. The company is also building AI and ML into the heart of Turvo Net that would offer actionable insights on how logistics providers can take corrective action in the supply chain to avoid any error. This will move suppliers from reactive visibility to proactive actionability. Additionally, Turvo is focusing on providing its clients with the ability to create their private marketplaces or ecosystems and digitize their experiences. “We are making a huge leap to make Turvo Net an open platform where anyone can build applications,” concludes Karkhanis.

West Michigan Transport is in High-Growth Mode with Turvo's Collaborative TMS

Friday, October 27, 2023

DALLAS, -- Turvo Inc. ("Turvo" or "the Company"), provider of the world's leading collaboration application designed for the supply chain, today announces its strategic partnership with West Michigan Transport. The Midwest logistics leader chose Turvo to scale faster through technology to empower a more efficient, digitally armed logistics workforce.

West Michigan Transport is a technology-forward freight brokerage with offices in Michigan and expansive logistics services throughout the Midwest. It specializes in expedited, dry van, LTL, refrigerated transport, and drayage. The company has aggressive plans to drive down costs and triple in size over the next three years.

After vetting several transportation management systems (TMS), it was Turvo's recognition for innovation in freight tech that stood out and aligned with West Michigan Transport's goals for accelerated growth and digital transformation.

West Michigan Transport's Executive Vice President of Customer Sales, Austin Pierson, says, "We looked at other TMS platforms — Turvo's technology and user experience cannot be matched. The Turvo team's domain knowledge and expertise, customer service, guided training through Turvo Academy, and rapid onboarding made our decision easy."

With Turvo TMS and Collaboration Cloud, West Michigan Transport is able to grow faster with less overhead. Less headcount is required for tasks that can be automated, such as track-and-trace, carrier matching, and providing customers with 100% visibility on shipments.

"We have preferred carriers we use on many lanes and Turvo's carrier groupings digitally match them without the need for back-and-forth phone calls and emails. It allows us to focus on growing our business," says Pierson.

West Michigan Transport was living in multiple systems. Turvo's underlying collaborative platform and cloud technology bring their entire supply chain together, significantly elevating the experience for all users.

"West Michigan Transport is well-positioned to set a new industry standard and deliver a superior customer experience across their supply chain for shippers, carriers, and employees," emphasized Billy Sarracino, CEO of Turvo. "Turvo provides a differentiated user interface and empowers organizations to drive sustained growth."
