Automation of network management tools is rapidly becoming one of the key trends in the network management software market. Adoption of network management software has been helping end-users to overcome network-related challenges while optimizing its security management process. In this scenario, World Wide Technologies (WWT), headquartered in Missouri, uses a proven and innovative approach to help public and private organizations discover, evaluate, architect and implement advanced technologies concerning Network Management. “Our engineers and customers work together to build solutions using more than 100 racks of equipment for testing, in the areas of big data, collaboration, computing and cloud, mobility, networking, security, and storage,” says James Kavanaugh, CEO, WWT. “WWT is a Cisco Gold Certified Partner. Since the partnership in 1994, we have provided our services on the basis of a data center platform for its clients.”

Cisco’s Unified Computing System (UCS) is a next generation data center platform that combines computing, network, storage access, and virtualization into a cohesive system designed to reduce total cost of ownership and increase business agility. With WWT’s Cisco UCS Training, clients leverage the power of Cisco UCS to unify network, computing and virtualization resources, delivering both on-site and remote Cisco UCS training to accommodate the needs of their clients. WWT’s Advanced Technology Center (ATC) enables its clients to explore how Cisco products fit into an integrated architectural solution. Clients can test UC, Nexus or UCS upgrades in controlled environments and explore ways to establish a highly resilient, active-active data center.

WWT is a Cisco Gold Certified Partner. Since the partnership in 1994, we have provided our services on the basis of a data center platform for its clients

Clients can also understand how Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI) is being used to deliver network agility and improve application performance.

In addition, WWT, with its Cisco partnership, provides customers with world-class procurement and professional services. “To maintain our superior service and breadth of offerings, we offer Cisco training services delivering authorized training for our customers who are interested in pursuing certifications and professional development,” explains Kavanaugh. Training courses include Enterprise Networking, Wireless, IPV6, Security, Unified Communications, Storage, Data Center and Network Management courses.

A profusion of companies in various verticals have benefited from WWT’s Cisco range of solutions. A federal agency with nearly 300,000 employees and hundreds of medical facilities and benefits offices across the U.S. turned to WWT to deploy a converged infrastructure solution quickly and efficiently. Its extensive framework caused the organization to face compliance and standardization issues as well as operational challenges. To be effective, the agency required compute and storage infrastructure standardized across multiple regions to eventually move to a fully virtualized environment. Other requirements included a mandatory centralized management and reporting solution for both storage and compute nodes that could be leveraged across the environment. WWT introduced a hybrid FlexPod solution that incorporated NetApp storage and Cisco UCS server and network components, providing medical centers with virtualized server environment. With a series of follow-ups with technology briefings, demos and proofs of concepts, WWT positioned Cisco UCS Central and NetApp Unified Manager to provide the organization with real time reporting and alerting on all compute and storage nodes. This enabled centralized management of assets, system wide alerts, report generation and immediate issue remediation, essentially providing a turnkey solution that fully met the agency’s requirements.

Growing from a small startup to a world-class organization with over $6.7 billion in annual revenue and over 3000 highly trained employees, WWT aims to continue to achieve consistent financial growth and provide their partners with strength and stability.
