Alan Sioberg

VP and CIO, Georgia System Operations Corporation

Alan Sioberg, Vice President and Chief Information Officer for Georgia System Operations Corporation, was appointed CIO in March 2014.  Sioberg also provides general planning and strategy for GSOC as a corporate officer, and leads the information technology effort for the Family of Companies, comprising of GSOC and its affiliated companies, Oglethorpe Power and Georgia Transmission.  Prior to joining GSOC, Sioberg worked with Oglethorpe Power for several years, beginning in the area of compliance and special projects and eventually moving to director of information technology.  Sioberg has worked in the IT arena for more than 20 years, previously with Piedmont Natural Gas Company and PricewaterhouseCoopers.  He has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Roanoke College and an MBA from the University of South Carolina.
