Carole Watkins
CHRO, Cardinal Health
Carole Watkins is CHRO of Cardinal Health reporting directly to the Chairman and CEO, a post she has held since 2005. Ms. Watkins serves on the Executive Committee of the company and also on the Strategy and Innovation Council led by the CEO.
In her role as CHRO, Ms. Watkins leads all of HR, Corporate Communications, Security, Real Estate, Facilities and Aviation. She is the management advisor to the HR and Compensation Committee of the Board of Directors, attends all Cardinal Health Board meetings and leads talent management and succession planning discussions with the full Board including CEO succession.
Prior to joining Cardinal Health, Ms. Watkins gained more than 20 years of Human Resources experience with companies including The Limited, O. M. Scott & Sons and Huntington Banks.
She also is a member of the National Association of Corporate Directors, Co-Chair of the CHRO Board Academy, serves on the executive committee of the Personnel Roundtable and is a member of the Human Resources Policy Association, and Healthcare Business Women’s Association (HBA).
In 2013, she was named a Women of Achievement by Central Ohio YWCA and was inducted as a Fellow into National Academy of Human Resources.
