Patrick Peterson

CEO and Founder, Agari

Patrick is Agari’s Founder and CEO and a visionary pioneer in the email business. Pat joined IronPort Systems in 2000 and defined IronPort’s email security appliances. He invented IronPort’s SenderBase, the industry’s first reputation service. In 2008, after Cisco’s acquisition of IronPort, Peterson became one of 13 Cisco Fellows. In 2009, Peterson spun-out email security technologies he developed at IronPort/Cisco into a company he founded, Agari, which secures the email channel. He is currently CEO at Agari and consults for Cisco as a Cisco Fellow. Peterson chairs the technical committee for the Messaging Anti-Abuse Working Group (MAAWG) and holds B.S. and M.S. degrees in electrical engineering from Stanford University.
