Raphael Richmond leads Ford’s Global Corporate Compliance Office, whose mission is to promote and preserve Ford’s culture of ethics and compliance within Ford’s dynamic global business.
Richmond was named Global Director of Compliance in April 2013 and reports directly to the Group Vice President and General Counsel. She also maintains a reporting relationship to the Audit Committee of Ford’s Board of Directors, which regularly reviews Ford’s corporate compliance program.
Prior to this assignment, Raphael Richmond worked as a senior member of the team preparing Ford’s financial disclosures to ensure legal compliance, and earlier as a litigator representing Ford in legal matters in state and federal court.
Ms. Richmond graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Michigan with a bachelor’s degree in political science, and earned her law degree from the University of Michigan Law School in 1996 with membership in the Order of the Coif. Under her leadership, Ford has continued its distinction of being named one of theWorld’s Most Ethical Companies by the independent Ethisphere Institute, and has initiated an internal compliance communication campaign capturing Ford employees’ commitment to Go Further – The Right Way, including the introduction of a mobile compliance app that puts just-in-time information at the fingertips of Ford’s global, mobile workforce. Ms. Richmond also presents frequently on compliance topics.
