Tianbing Qian (TQ) is Senior Vice President & Chief Information Officer at Ports America, the largest marine terminal operator and stevedoring service provider in US. In this role, TQ is overall responsible for the strategy and execution of leveraging IT to enable company’s operational excellence and profitable growth.

Prior to joining Ports in 2015, TQ spent seven years as VP of IT and Business Analytics at Celestica, a $6B global leader in end-to-end product lifecycle solutions. Before joining Celestica, TQ spent eleven years in the semiconductors industry designing & deploying innovative IT solutions in supply chain management, e-Commerce, and new product introduction. He last served as Head of IT Architecture & Strategy of Freescale Semiconductors and helped Freescale drive an award-winning IT transformation that won two CIO 100 awards and enabled company’s rapid growth in gross margin and shareholder values.

TQ holds a Ph.D. in Operations Management and an M.S. in Computer Sciences, both from the University of Iowa. He speaks frequently at industry conferences on Analytics, Innovation, and Transformation.
