Tim FitzGerald
Senior Vice President and Chief Data Officer, EverBank
Tim has over 20 years of experience in the field of technology and the financial services industry. Prior to joining EverBank, Tim spent the previous 5 years as the Chief Information Officer for US Assure (formerly known as Zurich Insurance Services). Previously, Tim spent 13 years at Capital One Financial Services where he held a number of senior positions managing Enterprise Data Service, Customer Data Management, US Card Data Warehouse. Capital One has long been an industry leader in the organizing and managing of data and Tim played a key role in developing their program.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Information Systems from Virginia Tech University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Richmond.

The Cloud is such a nebulous term which means different things to different people. Consider the landscape of SAAS (Software as a service), PAAS (Platform as a service), Public Cloud, Private Cloud, Hybrid Cloud, Fog computing, Coding as a service, applications that are hosted versus on premise. The best definition I have heard is simply, "Not done here"....
