Trevor O Brien

CTO, Deutsch

An avid lover of technology, with an extreme sense of curiosity, Trevor is no conventional Chief Technology Officer. He has a keen interest in how to leverage and solve problems – having built everything from enterprise software that powers some of the largest digital out-of-home networks, to mobile experiences, and large corporate brand sites – for clients including Nike, Volkswagen, Bank of America, PlayStation, Nintendo, Virgin, and Taco Bell. Having previously worked in Deutsch’s LA office, Trevor built a team of 55 developers, motion artists, and UX designers who live at the core of the agency, embedded into the creative team.

Trevor co-founded and co-chaired the 4A’s Creative Technology committee – a forum for technologists working in advertising and industries that brush up against advertising. He also helped organize the first two CreateTech industry conferences. A regular speaker and panelist at technology conferences, he bridges the gap between marketing teams and technology teams.

Known for having an entrepreneurial spirit, and often dubbed a “nighttime coder,” at Deutsch Trevor works across all accounts to ensure ideas and solutions are at the forefront of emerging technologies. In addition to client work, O’Brien focuses on building partnerships and new ventures with the tech start-up communities in both New York and Silicon Valley. His most recent position was co-founder and Technologist at The Experiment, a small design and technology studio in Durham, NC. Trevor also has worked with start-ups including The Grid, Motobias, and Roobrik.
