
Wes Williams
Dr. Wes Williams joined the Mental Health Center of Denver in 2007 and now serves as Vice President and Chief Information Officer, overseeing information systems, including evaluation, data sciences, information strategy, application development, network operations, and help desk.
Wes’s clinical background and technical expertise help him provide innovative solutions to the challenges of building systems that meet the needs of clinicians, payers, regulators, and the people we serve. His department integrated the Mental Health Center of Denver’s recovery-oriented outcome instruments into the clinical workflow of the electronic health record to bring quantitative measurement into the treatment of serious and persistent mental illness. Other initiatives include an EHR implementation, the construction of a data warehouse and business intelligence platform, planning for disaster recovery/business continuity in a hybrid cloud environment, and agile transformation.
Prior to joining the Mental Health Center of Denver, Wes was at Mental Health Partners in Boulder, Colorado, working as a child and family psychologist before moving to information systems to implement MHP’s electronic medical record. Wes graduated with a bachelor’s degree and honors in psychology from Stanford University. He earned his master’s degree and doctorate in clinical psychology from the University of Colorado, Boulder. Wes is a licensed psychologist in Colorado.
