ACPE Gets the Power of Microsoft Dynamics CRM to Improve Operational Effeciency

COLUMBIA, Md. and VIENNA, Va.: Protech Associates, Inc. (Protech), a provider of cloud-based association management software (AMS) powered by Microsoft Dynamics CRM, and Cetrom Information Technology, Inc. (Cetrom), a provider of custom cloud solutions that transform the way associations, nonprofits and SMBs succeed, have announced a successful go-live for the American College of Physician Executives (ACPE). The Tampa, Fla.-based professional association has deployed Protech Cloud Business Solutions hosted by Cetrom to improve operational efficiencies throughout the 27-person organization, reduce overall costs and better serve its membership.

Hans Zetterstrom, chief information officer, ACPE, said, “It was important that our new association management software offered advanced CRM functionality, an integrated financial system, business intelligence and transactional efficiency. However, as an organization, ACPE really needed a complete technology solution that would allow us to focus on the parts of our business where we excel—supporting our members. By developing a tight relationship among Protech, Cetrom and ourselves, we are able to do just that while allowing the software and cloud experts to take care of the system, upgrades, datacenter and security measures.”

Founded in 1975, ACPE has grown to become the nation’s largest health care organization for physician executives with more than 12,000 members from 46 different countries. In order to provide the best continuing medical education, events, publications, career services, career advancement, and connectivity to its members, ACPE selected Protech Cloud Business Solutions.

Some of the benefits of ACPE are:  flexibility, ease of use and extensive reporting capability; familiarity of the Microsoft platform resulting in a high level of user adoption; early indications of business users easily becoming power users; seamless integration among the database; financials and ACPE website, increased mobility with cross-browser; platform and device compatibility.

Brian Bruffey, CEO, Protech, said, “From the beginning, ACPE demonstrated a unique willingness to understand the software and the capabilities provided out of the box, even when it meant redefining their own business policies and processes. By taking this forward-looking step, ACPE ensured it would attain the maximum benefits from the system, and as a result, earned it the Protech 2013 Excellence in Innovation Wow! Award. Equally important, ACPE successfully implemented their system at 15 percent under the project budget with high quality results.”

A key deciding factor for ACPE, Protech’s strategic relationship with Cetrom gives the association’s executives—Zetterstrom specifically—the peace of mind in knowing that the system will always be accessible when staff or members need it, even during hurricane season. With opposite-coast redundancy and enterprise-class security, Cetrom’s cloud management solutions for associations and nonprofits offer a cost-effective approach to technology management backed by professional, personalized customer service and IT support.

Christopher Stark, president and CEO, Cetrom, said, “An association’s mission is to serve its members. But for organizations like ACPE with limited budgets and resources, executives and staff are often tasked with too many responsibilities and are stretched too thin to be as innovative as they would like. By removing the worry and stress associated with maintaining on-site datacenters or numerous hosted applications, Cetrom enables associations to be proactive and focus on what matters most, the members.”
