EBE Technologies' Business Process Management Solutions Yield Great Results
EAST MOLINE, IL: EBE Technologies, a developer of enterprise business process management applications for the transportation industry, posted its strongest first quarter results equal to 66% of total new sales revenue generated in FY2013.
These results represent the 14th consecutive quarter of over 20% growth. While all divisions within the company posted a significant increase in revenue, the Driver Services division, which was launched six years ago, now accounts for nearly half of EBE’s total new sales revenues.
New clients acquired represented a wide array of profiles. They ranged from ATA’s Top 100 Carriers and Top 50 Logistics Providers to companies with less than 100 power units. A significant trend being seen with the new clients is that they are investing in applications across multiple areas of its business. Previously, companies would select EBE to address a specific operational area, where now, with the expanded product portfolio, they are implementing solutions throughout the organization. “Our solutions have been developed to help companies eliminate the redundant, routine and tedious operational tasks, regardless of the department, and move them toward an exception management approach,” said Larry Kerr, President of EBE. “Every department has repetitive processes and our solutions take those tasks out of the hands of the operational personnel and place them in an electronic process which we refer to as an “eWorkforce,” Kerr adds.
EBE has made significant advancements in adding Automated Decision Support (ADS) logic and response workflows within its’ content management applications. The response workflows are integrated into the eWorkforce application layer which allows the solution to complete a specific task or invoke the eWorkforce to begin a new task based on Automated Decision Support filters.”
“The impact ADS and eWorkforce application layers are having within our client base is allowing tasks to be completed more quickly, with less workforce and greater accuracy,” said Kerr. An example of this process is demonstrated with one of EBE’s clients, Nu-Way Transportation in Bloomington, IL. Nu-Way streamlined the recruiting process, allowing the SHIPS Recruiting software to execute automatically most of the required steps to qualify and on-board a driver within eight hours of the time the application was submitted by the driver- a process which previously could take up to six days. The only processes that are not handled by the ADS and eWorkforce application layers include pressing a key to order the background reports and reviewing the information returned on the previous employment verifications.
EBE’s current product offering and roadmap will continue to provide solutions that allow carriers and non-asset providers the ability to implement EBE solutions alongside their existing document imaging systems without the expense of replacing those solutions that provide storage and retrieval functionality. “Our products are developed to improve operational efficiency in the most cost effective manner and we are confident our clients experience this daily throughout its organization,” adds Kerr.
