Filament BioSolutions Collaborates with Ajinomoto to Produce Technology-driven Medical Foods
NEW YORK, NY: Filament BioSolutions, a medical nutrition company, has collaborated with Ajinomoto, a firm of amino acids for the pharmaceutical and food industry, to produce and market a collection of medical foods.
With this partnership, Ajinomoto finances the Filament BioSolutions and enables it to work with its scientists and food technologists to assist in product development and to discover future opportunities for additional medical food products. Also, the partnership between the two allows Ajinomoto to provide ingredients and amino acids to Filament that are used in Filament therapeutic products.
“We believe there is a major gap in the healthcare system that we are addressing by creating evidence-based nutritional therapies. This partnership with Ajinomoto is a unique opportunity, which will provide access to their world-class scientists and further increase our capacity to develop the highest quality and most impactful products,” comments Dr. Thomas Cirrito, Founder, and CEO of Filament BioSolutions.
