Tech giant Google adds a new feature that will allow users to find the best education resource on the internet.
FREMONT, CA: Google believes that everyone—educators and learners at every age—deserve the tools and skills that set them up for success in developing the future they need for themselves. Its goal is to help more people—particularly those in underserved communities—benefit from technology's promise in the classroom and beyond. The company provides grant funding to nonprofits, developing programs to expand access to Google education resources, and helping train more people in computational thinking. The company's goal is to prepare every learner with the adaptive skills they require to tackle the future's biggest hurdles.
In a mission to help students find the best Google education resources, Google search is adding new features to its Google educational resources. The first feature that it will add is practice problems. As per a report, the interactive educational resource will test student's knowledge of chemistry, mathematics, and physics directly in the Search engine. Google is in the conversation for collaboration with other providers like Tiger Algebra, Symbolab, Mathway to help users solve Maths equations from Google Search. It is forecasted that in the coming weeks, additional help will be given to solve complex STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) questions through a detailed explanation of a topic and to offer targeted resources of complex subjects.
Another feature was added in Google search wherein users can get more resources about a specific website before visiting it. Google said it would show a description of the website from Wikipedia before opening the website. In case the website does not have a Wikipedia page, users will get the additional context available with Google when it first indexes the particular page.
