Paragon and Data Deposit Box Integrate BMR Services for Business Continuity
IRVINE, CA: Paragon Software Group, a provider of data storage services has joined hands with Data Deposit Box to provide Bare Metal Recovery (BMR) capabilities to provide a complete suite of data protection services to customers.
Bare Metal Recovery (BMR) is technique of data recovery and restoration in which the backed up data can be restored to a computer system without any requirements such as pre-installed software or operating system. The technique enables IT teams to recreate a group of servers from the scratch. BMR solutions usually follow automated processes with minimal human intervention to avoid wrong configurations. Some BMR solutions also take snapshots of the entire disk and provide restoration.
BMR is said to be advantageous in disaster recovery operations as it is faster and allows incremental backup and restoration. It also saves a lot of storage space and bandwidth along with providing back up to remote desktops and servers. The process can be useful for automating server migrations to other physical or virtual infrastructures.
BMR technology is available as an integrated feature of the Data Deposit Box cloud service that protects critical data for small and midsize enterprises. The technology claims to provide business continuity for organizations after a data loss or unpredicted disasters and enables reliable restoration of critical data. Data Deposit Box offers backup and recovery services for a wide range of data types including Exchange, SQL, VMware and Hyper-V along with cloud, hybrid and local recovery points.
