Reason for Rise in On-Demand Workforce: Report

FREMONT, CA: In affiliation with the research by Bill Pollock, President and Principal Consulting Analyst at Strategies for Growth, an independent research analyst and consulting firm, Work Market – provider of SaaS solution that helps companies find, manage and pay their freelance and independent contractor workforce from a single platform, has recently come up with a sponsored analyst report “Field Service Delivery in an On-Demand World."

The new research explores how enterprise field service organizations are embracing an on-demand workforce model to drive growth and customer satisfaction in a fiercely competitive service ecosystem. According to the report 83 percent of service executives are planning to increase their use of independent, on-demand contractors; 52 percent of service leaders cite “customer demand for quicker response time” as the top factor influencing overall service operations; and 40 percent of organizations expect to adopt a Freelancer Management System over the next 12 to 16 months.

According to the report, the current strategic actions being required to address these issues are: 52 percent develop / improve metrics, or KPIs, used to measure field service performance; 44 percent invest in mobile tools to provide field technicians with real-time access to required data and information in the field; and 35 percent integrate new technologies into existing field service operations (iPads, Tablets or other devices)
