Its recent collaboration with a contractor of Johnson Space Center showcases the company’s proficiency in delivering performance-driven workstations for discrete industry requirements. The contractor needed workstations to train astronauts using Virtual Reality (VR) to simulate various conditions of the outer space. Understanding the use case in depth before the actual deployment was highly essential as the project was built around software with unique performance characteristics.

Puget Systems then deployed a series of workstations crafted around VR and simulation to aid the training of astronauts, and the result was noteworthy. Pleased with the performance and reliability of the machines, the contractor invited Puget Systems to experience the training first hand.

Puget Systems concentrates on the entire lifecycle of a product rather than focusing on just the initial stages of installation. Be it a small data center or an entire workstation, the company takes a progressive approach throughout the development phase, checking all the boxes of its clients’ requirements. “When we interact with our customers, it is more of a relationship than just a transaction. We walk with them throughout their journey, assisting them in getting a particular job done,” adds Bach. He goes on to state technologies such as machine learning and data analytics largely interest Puget Systems as they hold the key to the future of innovation, allowing the company to tackle varying needs of its clientele.

Puget Systems Partners to Demonstrate Vū One at NAB NY; Newly-Launched, Accessible Turnkey Virtual Production Solution for Content Creators

(www.pugetsystems.com) announced it is teaming up with Vū (www.vu.network) at NAB NY next week to demonstrate Vū’s newly launched turn-key, accessible virtual production platform, Vū One. ‘Powered by Puget Systems,’ Vū One will deliver an interoperable set of creative and collaborative software tools and tightly-integrated hardware for virtual productions in a single, integrated solution.

Last month, Puget Systems announced that they had been selected by Vū as its exclusive media server provider because of Puget Systems’ unique qualification and expertise in designing and building complex, high-performance systems specifically designed for demanding virtual production environments.

What You’ll See at the Puget Systems Booth: Vū One, Powered by Puget Systems

The team from Puget Systems will be on hand at NAB NY at its booth #742 to demonstrate Vū One Powered by Puget Systems. In the demo, attendees will see one of the major features of Vū One – the ability to remotely connect with, and manage, a virtual production stage from a different location. In this case, the Puget Systems Media Server will be connected live to a Vū studio in Orlando, Florida.

The media server at the heart of this new virtual production innovation is designed with AMD Threadripper PRO processors, offering a high number of cores for extremely fast light baking and shader compiling, while NVIDIA’s RTX A-series graphics cards offer high 3D performance combined with plenty of VRAM. Dual GPUs are supported, along with optional NVLink and Quadro Sync add-ons. Key specs include:
